Bintan Island 2 Days 1 Night

Bintan... Never heard of this until I saw on our Company handbook that we got a Villa there. OMG~! Villa and we are having staff price for this.

Bintan Island or Negeri Segantang Lada is an island in the Riau archipelago of Indonesia. It is part of the Riau Islands province, the capital of which, Tanjung Pinang, lies in the island's south and is the island's main community.[1][2][3][4]

Little information I could find about this Island and only through visitor who visited and some Internet review. Is my turn to contribute some useful information. For the departure from Singapore, you need to heading to Tanah Merah.
  1. Public Transport: Take the MRT to Tanah Merah MRT, board bus 35 and take it to the last stop at Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal (12 mins).
  2. Taxi: Almost every taxi driver will know how to get to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
http://singapore-getaways.com/how-to-get-to-tanah-merah-ferry-terminal/

Before heading to Bintan, there are some funny thing happen to 1 of my friend. After the scanning of the bag, he totally forgot to take it back and after 10mins only rushed back and claimed from custom staff Lol... get scolded :)

Day 1 - Begin of Bintan

This is the ferry we taking

Cam whore with wide angel lens

About 1 and half hours in the ferry and finally we reached Bintan Ferry Terminal. Small and simple. Bintan is 1 hour behind Singapore time, that means we gained 1 hour here :)
Same like Langkawi? Lol

Bintan Lagoon Resort do have their own bus for pickup

The island doesnt sound busy interm of population here. We take around 30mins to reach our Villa from the Terminal. Enjoying view and bumpy road :) Reach the beautiful Bintan Lagoon Resort, it actually located just in the Golf Club.

Swimming pools no1 just infront of the entrance

Swimming pools no2 500 meter from the 1st one.

Sent by mini Golf car to our villa... Beautiful

Unpack and ready to visit all the environment in the Resort. Huge, Big and Great place to stay. Have own their private beach with alot of facilities available for guest (mostly will be charged).

When you feel lazy to order anything , just ring for service :)

Kayaking (sgd20 per hours) & water sport (sgd100>) but EXPENSIVE :)

Picture speak thousand word~

Beautiful scenery~

Cant wait to enjoy the crystal clear water :)

Due to the late check in, we didnt visit any place just stay at resort. The hotel provide alot activities such as ATV (sgd100 per hours), Town Visit (Tanjung Pinang - sgd180 per visit/car), Jungle Tracking, Archery (sgd10 per 10 arrows), Pool, Kelong Seafood (Transport sgd80 and having order seafood yet) and alot more but just cant too expensive for everything. You can spend SGD widely in Bintan without any Rupiah on hand. They ACCEPT SGD :)

Without much option (time but not money) we settled our dinner at Hotel for the International Buffet (sgd50 per person). Environment is good and food is acceptable 3/5 rated for it. After a wonder"full" dinner, we plan to play pika pika at the beach. What is pika pika? see the below :p However 2 of the ladies was sleeping soundly at the beach, -_-" ... just 2 of stupid guys playing :)

Day 2 - The End of Bintan

A long beautiful night with sound of the waves from the sea, RELAX. A long chat among each others and is time to sleep.

Early 530am, our excited friend went to shoot the sunrise... Bad weather and cloudy failed the plan for sunrise. However he really a person who got heart for photography, willing to wake up for this.

This only the best photo of him :) 加油~!

can you see the crystal clear water?

My little pussy :) *run

Our signature jump :)

Beach Boys & Girls

After enjoying our beach session whole morning, our stomach starting call for 911 :) we decided to visit Pasar Oleh Oleh which a must go place from Internet/Source. Our resort provides shutter bus (12pm and 2pm) to there but we need to pay for SGD8 for return ticket per person.

A big disappointment, maybe because we have high hope on this places. I am not sure this is right time to come or it just normally looks like this. Empty with no visitor, only the local shop keeper and some tour agents bugging around (they are offering town visit and some others activity with lower price).

Pasar Oleh Oleh? No Human 1?

However we still found some good food around

Nasi Padang - Beef

Tips - Walking around 500 meters from Pasar Oleh Oleh, you will find this store which located at local market. Considered cheap compare the one I ate but still... no tourist around, empty market with local people around.

3 Day 2 night will be wonderful for us but however, Bintan should be categorised as a relaxing place and not place for busy night life or shopping parade. A SPA and relaxing beach activities is what can you do here.

A photo before we check out, Happy Reading :)

Here we come the summary of the Day:-

1) Ferry Ticket - SGD240 for 4 person
2) Villa - SGD180
3) Lunch - 40 SGD for 4 person
4) Dinner Buffet - SGD200 for 4 person

Day 2
1) Pasar Oleh Oleh - SGD32 for 4 person
2) Breakfast/Lunch - 40 SGD for 4 person

1. Seawalking (photo at another cam)
  • Walking at down the sea... Adventures 100-150 meter deep
  • Syiok but scary and appreciate diver for help =)
  • High Pressure, Strong wave in deep sea - Ear very pain :)
2. Glass Bottom with Turtle Island
  • Great experience with uncle Turtle
  • No need Glass Bottom boat waste money
3. Tattoo-ing (Temporary)
  • Fun~!
  • Not pain at all :p
  • Dont do SPA after that because the tattoo will drop :)

After hot until half died, we are leaving turtle island and it end our journey at Nusa Dua - Tanjung Benoa, Water sport activities. 2pm... stomach is calling 911 =) Ok ok ... We already know what to eat... Bumbu Bali is our choice that recommended by most forum and people visit here.

Nice Keropok, Nice Be Celeng Base Manis and ALL =)

We do enjoy to fullest ~!

Kenyang... Full until up to throat hahaha :p Moving to next destination... before moving to next destination, we going to change hotel from Kuta - Tune hotel to Seminyak - Paradiso I would say is average hotel and it cost us 400,000 rupiah per night. Old hotel with un-equipment such as power plug & Internet access. Most of the thing old old de... however got Bali feel =) which full of mystery, Staff friendly, Nice Pool and SPA is very cheap. 5/10 marks is given to this Resort. Compare with Tune, I prefer Tune Hotel =)

Tanah Lot... Must go places... It called Floating Temple... Why it called Floating Temple? because when high tide, the Temple is floating with sea. When low tide, you can walk near to the temple (you cant enter unless priest). Unique and beautiful scene.

What do you think? Great?

The Perfect Place to capture

When bright... Unique and Mystery
